As President of our Club, I had the pleasure today to watch our 2011- 12 Singles Final. This was fought out by a former Champion in Rod Strong and Col Waddell. Certainly hot conditions over a lengthy match required some significant stamina. Both were up to it ! Probably one of the interesting aspects of the struggle, was the number of times both players took time out to inspect the head. An indication of their intensive concentration perhaps ! Camberwell Central Bowls Club found itself the centre of attention on Saturday (3rd December) just past when the Paparazzi descended on this usually quiet Bowen street address. 
The locals were caught unawares and were somewhat mystified by the photographers' obsession with snapping everything blue. Coaches will be there & drills will be set up!Camberwell Central Bowlers are lucky enough to enjoy two fantastic greens which are used year round for both social and competition bowls. We welcome new members and invite you to come along to the Club and have a roll; free coaching and bowls on loan for your use. Thursday nights are a great opportunity to meet the members, enjoy a BBQ, have a drink and try your hand at the great game of lawn bowls!
